Recap of July 30, 2019 Special Meeting

Resolution 2019-105, Nondisclosure Agreement for Information Exempt from Public Disclosure Under Chapter 119, Florida Statutes, between Lake County Property Appraiser and City of Mount Dora. This passed 7-0.


Resolution 2019-96, Tentative Millage Rate for Fiscal Year 2019-2020 Budget. It was proposed that City Council approve a Tentative Millage Rate of $7.000 for Fiscal Year 2019-20. After much discussion Ms. Tillett amended the motion to propose a $6.500 Tentative Millage Rate. By four votes(Tillett, Tucker, Girone, Stile) to three (Massey, Crail, Rolfson) the amended Tentative Millage Rate of $6.500 was approved. After the majority voted to amend Resolution 2019-96 to reflect a Tentative Millage Rate of $6.500 this Resolution passed by unanimous vote at the amended rate.




The actual Millage Rate will be voted on at the September 5, 2019 City Council Meeting and can be changed (but not to exceed the Tentative $6.500 Rate) and voted on for a final time for adoption at the September 19, 2019 City Council meeting. Both of these meetings will be Budget Hearings, important expenses will be discussed. Residents are strongly encouraged to attend these budget hearings to be a part of the discussion.
