Wear Your Mask

I just feel like I have to do my part to at least inform you all of what's going on and if you still choose to go out in public or have people to your house and not wear a mask, to help protect yourselves, then the blame can only fall onto you.

If you need a mask let me know and I will bring you one. They're only $5 and that money goes to Lake Cares Food Pantry. I will make as many masks as I can tonight to be fully stocked by morning. I have adult and kid sizes.

Two City employees have now tested positive for Covid-19 and they both work at our Community pool and have obviously been in contact with people. Contact tracing is underway and notifications are being made where possible. One Lake County Sheriff's Office Deputy died within TWENTY FOUR hours of feeling sick-DEAD! Another LCSO Deputy and his wife are both currently fighting for their lives, on life support, from Covid-19.

If you must go out PLEASE wear a mask. And if you see a person without a mask get the heck away from that person. Wash your hands, avoid touching your face and please if you do not feel well do NOT go out in public. Free testing is available with an appointment at CVS in Mount Dora. Free testing is available through Lake County, more information is below.

If you didn't have a chance to listen to my Community Chat with Dr. Michael Imperiale from the University of Michigan please listen to it now. He provided great information, scientific and factual information, and answered many questions from our very own residents.

Please continue to take the necessary precautions, please stay safe. If there is anything I can do to help, to keep you from venturing out if you don't feel safe please just ask. I just want everyone to stay safe.
